The aims of interventional pain medicine are to relieve, reduce, or manage pain and improve a patient’s overall quality of life through minimally invasive techniques specifically designed to diagnose and treat painful conditions. Interventional pain medicine techniques target the source of your pain by using procedures to identify the main location/origin of your pain, and allows for treatment of the underlying condition causing the pain. o Interventional pain medicine also aims to reduce heavy reliance on medications.
